If your Instagram feed has started to somewhat resemble the COS website, then we must share the same algorithm. From the Layered Mini Dress that's become my latest swishy staple, to its trench coat in a delectable butter yellow shade that's everywhere right now, COS has well and truly seized my socials. The latest COS gem to plaster itself over my Instagram? Its Longline Denim Shorts, which I spotted more times than I can count on one hand over the weekend and, after the third or fourth post, I found myself adding it to basket.
At Grazia HQ, Bermudas, jorts, longline shorts - whatever name you want to give them - are a staple, worn to the office with a tucked-in linen shirt, white ankle socks and chunky loafers. COS' latest iteration is perfect for that, with a longline length that nods to a certain 90s minimalism, without veering into 2000s boyband territory. Made from 100% organic cotton, the longline denim shorts are sold in four different denim washes, including a couple of classic blue washes (although stock in the darker shade is dwindling), light beige and a chalky cream.

The most popular colour of these COS shorts has to go to this light blue wash. With a flattering just-under-your-knee length and a wash that's bound to go with linen shirts and t-shirts galore, finish the outfit with a pair of ballet flats and a raffia tote bag.
COS' Longline Shorts will slip into your warm weather wardrobe with ease - in fact, the design is as versatile as it gets. Pair the shorts with a tank top and fisherman sandals or woven ballet flats for a look you can wear to the pub garden (with an overpriced pint in hand), or add a boxy t-shirt and colourful Adidas trainers for a more casual take. The shorts also can be worn with a barn jacket or cropped trench coat if the skies decide to cloud over.

If you like to make the most of the warmer months by incorporating lighter colours and neutrals into your wardrobe, this chalky cream pair is an excellent option. Whether you choose to style it with a colourful striped shirt, or keep it simple with a well-structured tee, these shorts will be on heavy rotation this summer.
Occasionally, you just have to admit defeat - and that was me, this weekend, as I pressed the 'purchase now' button on the shorts that I feel like I'm being almost haunted by. Do I regret it? No. Will you regret it? Absolutely not. It's rare that a pair of denim shorts feels this do-it-all, combined with the excellent array of colours and the organic cotton composition that won't leave you with chafing.
